Performers and Production
Each year Cheer Portland performs, fundraiser, and volunteers to benefit a local non-profit in our community that supports health, wellness, or the LGBTQIA+ community. We are always on the lookout for volun-cheerleaders. If you are passionate about getting involved in the community, we'd love to hear from you! No prior cheerleading experience necessary; all skill levels welcome.
Performer
Whether full-time or part-time, our Performing Volunteers stunt, flip, dance, and cheer while fundraising for charities in and beyond our local community. They are the face of Cheer Portland and must attend spring tryouts, attend practices, achieve their own fundraising goals, and represent our mission to the fullest at many fun events!
No prior experience is required (really!), but stamina, adaptability, a positive attitude, and an ability to repeatedly count to 8 will prove very useful.

Production
Each year, there is a group of unsung heroes who help Cheer Portland stay polished and looking fresh. In our effort to maximize our impact in the community, we keep our production in-house.
​
Our production team members volunteer at events and help manage team property, shake poms to raise spirits at events, and help the team run smoothy behind the scenes. They are non-performers who do not attend practices.

Tryout Clinics
Spring 2026
Cheer Portland is in its 6 season with amazing team members! Tryouts are in the spring each year. Clinics are open to anyone wishing to join a team of adult volunteer cheerleaders. No experience required. Stay tuned for Season 7 tryouts in Spring 2026.​
